Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for the appeals and audit team, ensuring timely case handling
- Review team workloads and assign new appeal files through email or fax
- Monitor communication channels and respond to internal and external inquiries
- Collaborate with leadership on department initiatives and special projects
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when needed
- Support continuous training and development for team members
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare or medical operations setting
- Experience supervising 15-20 employees in a productiondriven environment
- Strong understanding of claims and appeals workflows (client will train on niche processes)
- Confident leader who can take initiative and hold team members accountable
- Strong communication skills and comfort navigating multiple systems
- No coding or clinical background required
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
- Start Date: ASAP
- Employment Type: Direct hire
- Work Environment: Fully remote
- Systems: Proprietary internal platform (userfriendly)
- Training: Week 1 compliance and onboarding, followed by ongoing development
- Bonus Eligibility: Based on team performance metrics
- Internet Stipend: $40/month
