The shop repairs domestic, European, luxury, and specialty vehicles and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality repairs that restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.Autopedic Body Center is seeking an experienced Body Technician (Body Man) to join our team. The successful candidate will perform structural and non-structural repairs on damaged vehicles, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced collision repair environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complete disassembly and reassembly of damaged vehicles.Repair or replace damaged body panels, fenders, doors, quarter panels, roofs, and structural components.Conduct frame and unibody repairs using measuring and alignment equipment.Weld, section, and repair vehicle structures in accordance with OEM procedures.Identify hidden damage and communicate repair requirements to estimators and production staff.Prepare repaired panels and components for refinishing.Ensure proper fit, finish, and functionality of all repaired components.Follow repair plans, work orders, and manufacturer repair procedures.Perform quality inspections throughout the repair process.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.Properly document repair progress and communicate status updates to management.Support team members to ensure vehicles are delivered on time and to company standards.Desired Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and quality workmanship.Ability to manage multiple repair assignments.Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.Team-oriented attitude.Commitment to safety and continuous learning.Pride in delivering repairs that exceed customer expectations.Performance ExpectationsMeet or exceed productivity goals.Adhere to OEM repair procedures and safety requirements.Maintain high-quality repair standards with minimal rework.Contribute positively to shop culture and operational efficiency.Deliver vehicles on schedule while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
