Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Virginia License/Compact Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: - 2 years recent Progressive Care Unit experience - Current BLS & ACLS - NIHSS - IV infusions of Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Milrinone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Lasix IVP - Labetalol and Metoprolol Description: Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a hospital setting. Candidates should hold a current Virginia license or a compact license. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population. Flexibility and adaptability in patient assignments and schedules are essential. Candidates should possess experience with IV infusions and critical care protocols. Experience with EMR systems is preferred. Candidates should be willing to work extra shifts and have the ability to handle changing care environments. Team members will engage in a collaborative environment, working alongside RNs, PCTs, and other support staff. The ability to perform mid-line or PICC line insertions is beneficial. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a flexible and easygoing personality. Shifts will require a commitment to weekends based on unit needs. This position does not involve required on-call availability.
