We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Waterman, IL. Responsibilities:
- Able to lift, push, pull, and bend with up to 25 lbs repeatedly; able to carry up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting tasks and always use proper lifting techniques
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Sort metals and handle materials in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Always follow safety procedures and maintain a safety-first mindset
- Able to read and understand metric measurements for sorting and accuracy
- Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) in a fast-paced environment
- Safely operate sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes
- Help with inventory and keeping track of materials as needed
- 1+ year of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- 2 years of material handling experience
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable lifting heavy items and standing for long periods
- Familiar with reading and understanding metric measurements
- Experience operating sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus
