Job Opportunity: Glaucoma Specialist

Our organization is looking to expand our vibrant ophthalmology team by welcoming a full-time Glaucoma Specialist to serve as a non-tenure Clinical Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert medical and surgical care for glaucoma, while also playing a vital role in comprehensive ophthalmic services. This role provides a chance to work in a collaborative, patient-focused setting equipped with cutting-edge technology and a diverse patient demographic.

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of glaucoma conditions.
• Conduct glaucoma surgeries, including Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS), trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and various laser procedures (such as SLT and YAG).
• Offer routine and advanced anterior segment care, including cataract surgery when appropriate.
• Work alongside optometrists and other ophthalmic specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
• Keep precise, timely, and comprehensive medical records.
• Inform patients and their families about glaucoma, available treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Engage in the education of ophthalmology residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical research if desired.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package.

• M.D. (or equivalent) or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution.
• Completion of an ophthalmology residency.
• Fellowship training in Glaucoma.
• US Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida.
