About the Position

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to an adult and geriatric ICU patient population with a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage high volumes of ventilated patients and arterial lines; perform titration of continuous infusions including sedation agents, pain medications, paralytic agents, and vasopressors
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds alongside intensivists, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, OT/PT, dietitians, case management, and wound care
• Transport patients (e.g., to CT) in coordination with the bedside tech and respiratory therapist as required
• Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication management; communicate using SBAR methodology
• Float within scope of practice to sister facility as needed; adhere to all holiday and weekend scheduling requirements per contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with Epic (required) and Pyxis
• Experience with titration of sedation, analgesic, paralytic, and vasopressor infusions in an ICU setting
• Ability to manage ventilated patients and arterial lines across a broad range of ICU diagnoses

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated competency on the Baxter PrisMax machine for CRRT management
• Prior experience in a high-acuity, high-volume ICU environment
• Familiarity with SBAR communication in a multidisciplinary care setting
