Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Hanford, CA. Start date 09/07/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,084–$2,176 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in Med/Surg, applying the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and develop a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery with other disciplines, and promote a safe, healing environment.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Lead and supervise care activities of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the care team.
- Document care and treatment in the electronic health record system (EPIC and Cerner) and provide patient and family education as needed.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR or equivalent acceptable per policy
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred; relevant acute care facility experience preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and support a travel assignment
- Must meet facility-specific vaccination requirements and comply with organizational policies
