Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Obtain and record initial assessments establishing priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention.
• Develop and implement a measurable individualized plan of care within established time frames.
• Make nursing decisions based on interpretations of information and evaluations of patient outcomes.
• Participate in health education and discharge planning for patients and significant others.
• Implement and document timely interventions suitable to patient needs and evaluate the plan of care.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures as applicable.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS Certification required.
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a clear, concise manner appropriate to patient needs.
