Functional Business Analyst

Supporting a major AI modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Functional Business Analyst will analyze and reverse-engineer business requirements from existing healthcare systems, conduct stakeholder engagement, and translate current-state functionality into actionable technical and functional requirements. Key responsibilities: Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements from the VistA/MUMPS Prosthetics module to identify opportunities for modernization Conduct stakeholder interviews and workflow analyses, translating business needs into user stories, process flows, and requirements documentation Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions while supporting Agile delivery activities Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise IT or healthcare modernization programs Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and requirements management processes Functional understanding of VA VistA and the Prosthetics module, including workflows related to ordering and procurement Experience facilitating stakeholder discussions and translating business needs into technical solutions
