Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide hands-on care and support to patients recovering from a variety of orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and general surgical procedures on a 17-bed specialty care unit. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility and ambulation, hygiene, toileting, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. The CNA will work closely with Registered Nurses and the care team to support patients throughout their post-operative recovery, including those recovering from total knee, hip, shoulder, spine and spinal fusion procedures, as well as bariatric surgeries such as gastric sleeve and gastric bypass.

Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | 36 hours/week

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year, preferred. 1 year of Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation
