Post Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Civita Care Center at Newington. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a COTA who enjoys hands-on patient care and helping residents improve the skills needed for greater independence in their daily lives.

What You'll Do

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional tasks
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising OT
• Observe resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the therapy team
• Reinforce adaptive techniques and strategies that promote safety and independence
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Collaborate with OT, PT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut COTA license required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered care
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
• New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply
