Commissioning Specialist

Headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, Batchelor & Kimball partners with clients to deliver excellent results from engineering and construction to operations and maintenance. The company offers design/build and turnkey construction services, including teaming with selected subcontractors for electrical and general construction. We are seeking a Commissioning Specialist (Mechanical) with strong experience in Mechanical Construction projects. The role requires independent work, minimal oversight, and a focus on customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do Understand and follow communication plans with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project status. Understand project schedules, milestones, critical path, and identify future planning needs and constraints. Collaborate with technicians, team leads, and other PMs to perform project commissioning tasks, meet schedule requirements, communicate project progress, and review plans, specifications, and submittals. Support customer satisfaction initiatives by building relationships, investigating concerns, and implementing corrective actions. Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with internal and external customers. What you’ll need (minimum qualifications) Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Consistent dependability and availability. Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction field and office environment. Aptitude to learn new systems. General mechanical systems knowledge. Knowledge of commissioning processes, documentation, and implementation. Interpretation of controls one line drawings for integration with equipment is a plus. Good to have 1‑5 years of experience in the field of HVAC. Experience working with building owners preferred. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive.
