About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary and highly respected leader to take on the role of Chair for the Department of Radiation Oncology. This pivotal position is dedicated to leading a department that is an integral part of a comprehensive cancer center, known for its scientific excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and commitment to advancing cancer care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic, academic, and administrative leadership of the department, with a focus on guiding its future direction, cultivating partnerships, and expanding its research and educational missions. The role also involves shaping a unified vision that integrates clinical care, research, education, and community outreach. The ideal candidate for the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the company will have a proven track record of administrative leadership within the field, with a preference for experience in an integrated academic medical center and an NCI-designated cancer center. They should be a collaborative and driven physician, with a strong background in research, education, and/or clinical excellence, and credentials suitable for a senior associate or full professor level appointment. The role requires a candidate with an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree, current board certification in radiation oncology, and the ability to obtain licensure in the state of California. The Chair will be expected to work closely with the Dean, the Cancer Center Director, and health system leadership to ensure the department's continued success and its critical role in the region's cancer care landscape.
