We are partnering with a premier global banking institution to appoint a Senior Labour Relations Manager as part of the continued growth of its Human Resources function. This is a newly created position, reflecting the firm’s ongoing investment in building a best-in-class Employee & Labour Relations capability.

This is a highly visible opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team supporting one of the bank’s most strategically important client groups. You’ll partner closely with senior business leaders, HR leadership and Legal, providing commercial advice on complex workforce matters across the organization.

Unlike traditional labour relations roles, this position is advisory-led, with a strong emphasis on workforce strategy, retention, organisational risk and senior stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on complex labour and employee relations matters.
• Lead and advise on workforce restructures, retention strategies and sensitive senior employment issues.
• Partner closely with HR, Legal and business leadership to mitigate employment risk while supporting commercial objectives.
• Provide strategic guidance on high-impact employee relations matters across multiple business units.
• Influence people strategy by identifying trends, risks and opportunities within the workforce.
• Support one of the firm’s highest-priority client groups, operating as a key strategic partner to leadership.
• Contribute to the continued development and evolution of the Labour Relations function as the team grows.

What We’re Looking For

• Significant Labour and/or Employee Relations experience gained within the financial services sector , ideally within banking, investment banking, asset management, hedge funds or broader capital markets.
• Demonstrated experience partnering directly with senior executives and advising on complex, high-risk employee matters.
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance business objectives, legal risk and employee outcomes.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where discretion and sound judgement are essential.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise senior leaders.
