Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of current Med Surg experience in an acute setting License: Active Texas or Compact RN license Certifications: Active AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Must disclose any previous employment history in profile Description: The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who utilizes their expertise to coordinate patient care delivery by the healthcare team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems. The RN develops and implements an individualized plan of care for each patient. The RN evaluates the patient's response to the care provided. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients in transitioning through their healthcare encounters without preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on each patient's condition and the competencies of the employees.
