Staff Accountant
We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Staff Accountant to support a collaborative accounting team. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple entities, and contributing to the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing competing priorities while meeting critical monthly deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end close activities, including financial statement preparation and account analysis.
- Prepare and review financial reports for multiple business units and locations.
- Assist with cost reporting and support audit-related reporting requirements.
- Research, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies and adjusting entries.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reporting schedules.
- Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting multiple entities or business units is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
