ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Night Shift) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Self-scheduling with night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, every other weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The role involves working with neonates, infants, and adults in a dynamic environment that handles 100-200 facility births per month. RNs will be expected to maintain central lines, administer medications, and conduct triage of obstetrical patients using EFM.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood and blood products.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections.
• Circulate for C-sections and manage epidural anesthesia.
• Provide pain assessment and management.
• Administer magnesium sulfate and insulin drips.
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and recover C-sections.
• Triage obstetrical patients effectively.
• Use of infusion pumps and IV monitoring.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:3 during night shifts preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact State equivalent required.
• Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
• CPI Certification preferred.
