Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Location: Lee Health -2776 Cleveland AveFort Myers FL 33901 Department: HOD HB Addiction Services Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00AM to 4:30:00PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $22.34 - $29.04 / hour Summary Lee Physician Group is seeking a compassionate, dependable LPN who is interested in making a difference in the lives of patients receiving Addiction Medicine services . Behavioral Health or Addiction Medicine experience is preferred, but not required. We value strong communication skills, teamwork, accountability, and a willingness to learn. Position Highlights: Behavioral Health or Addiction Medicine experience is preferred but not required. Experience administering injections is highly desirable, as the department frequently administers long-acting injectable medications. Experience with urine drug screening (UDS) and related clinical processes is preferred. Provides nursing support within the Addiction Medicine department and takes ownership of the LPN role in a collaborative clinical environment. Performs and documents selected tasks such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the Register Nurse in collecting health data according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Requirements Education: Graduate of a state approved vocational/practical nursing program required. Experience: None required. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment. Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. 30-hour IV Course may be required based on specialty. License: Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Florida. Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
