Sr Accountant

Job Summary In this position you will be responsible of General Accounting tasks for several units and you will provide support to AP/AR function, as back-up and whenever is needed. You will also be requested to assist the senior accountants and Controller for various GL activities and/or analysis.Duties & ResponsibilitiesExpenses report analysis, review and reconciliations for several entitiesPrepare monthly expense accrual and other journal entries for bank, payroll and otherMonth-end close process for the assigned entitiesPerform analysis at month-end for the assigned entitiesAssist senior accountants during various month-end activities including Intercompany bookingsBank reconciliations for several entitiesMonthly reconciliation of a set of balance sheet accountsPrepare analysis of general ledger accounts for audit, tax and cost analysis purposesSupport during SOX and Audits reviewSupport Senior team members for monthly/quarterly VAT returnMaintain an efficient filing systemBack-up for other colleagues in GL and assist AP/AR teamMinimum & Preferred Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum Qualifications2 years minimum experience in GL function is recommended. Accounting degree or commercial diploma. Experience working in a US company and multinational environment is preferred. Fluent in English, both verbal and written, fluency with other European languages will be a plus.Pro-active, hands on mentality, motivated, team player.At ease with the usual software tools (MS Office, accounting packages …)EducationAccounting degree or commercial diplomaCompensation: The anticipated range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000.
