Job Details - Nuclear Medicine Technologist Travel Assignment

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,310
• Location: Reno, NV 89521
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 - End: 8/17/2026)
• Shift: 4 x 10-hour days, 06:30 - 17:00, rotating days-of-the-week
• Hours per Week: 40 (weekly guaranteed hours)
• Call Requirements: No call

Job Requirements - NMT Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or equivalent nuclear imaging technologist role
• Valid Nevada (NV) state license required (must have in hand before start date)
• Certification: AART (ARRT[N]) or equivalent (NMTCB preferred)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceutical administration, and radiation safety
• Ability to operate scintillation cameras, SPECT/CT, and imaging computers
• Ability to float to other departments as needed, within competency level
• Willingness to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period

Responsibilities - Nuclear Medicine Technologist Duties

• Provide high-quality nuclear medicine imaging data to interpreting physicians in accordance with departmental procedures, state and federal regulations
• Perform planar and SPECT imaging, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol, and document imaging procedures accurately
• Serve patients across all age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Operate and maintain state-of-the-art scintillation cameras, SPECT/CT systems, and support equipment; perform equipment quality control (QC) and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain radiation safety, contamination control, and quality assurance standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient scheduling, preps, and exam selection
• Perform minor clerical duties, maintain accurate patient records, and participate in overtime as needed
• May be required to float and adapt to the needs of the organization to support patient care and departmental operations
