You will be aligning engineering, manufacturing and regulatory schedules, ensuring that the right products are created and delivered at the time of market introduction to ensure the success of the platform. Your influence will be critical to ensure excellent cross-functional communication and coordination.The position requires significant experience in medical technology products and the ability to combine that experience with knowledge of bringing projects through a development cycle, manufacturing transfer and launch. This role requires an understanding of product development process, manufacturing, supplier management, project management, and most importantly managing through influence. Essential Job Duties Effectively manage cross-functional development teams across the Business Unit and Shared Services, providing oversight on critical projects, and ensuring the teams deliver against their commitments within the project contract.Manages the project plan by identifying critical path, constraints, contingencies and mitigations to achieve project objectives.Escalates threats to project plan as required to functional management and senior leadershipOngoing collaboration with cross-functional teams to update weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on project status and ensure that cross-product dependencies are understood, planned for, and crisply executedPerform risk analysis, develop contingency plans, and gather data from functions to proactively raise prioritization and scheduling tradeoff decisionsProvides regular updates in form of status updates and stage gate review presentations with highlighting risks and mitigation plans to senior managementWorks across the organization and external suppliers to align functional support and input for the projectEnsures Project management processes are followed per relevant procedures by functional team members.Contributes to Project management process optimization and strategies via lessons learned, resource leveling, process input and sharing and developing best practicesQualificationsRequired Skills and ExperienceMedical device or health care experience in regulated environment is required.Understanding of Design Controls under US and International RegulationsStrong project management, planning, decision making, negotiating and change management skillsComfortable with all phases of the project and product lifecycle including idea generation, concept, design, development, V&V testing and manufacturing transferExperience in analyzing tradeoffs between product features, customer needs/ requirements and costDemonstrated ability to synthesize data, set actionable goals and drive metrics and executionExperience with supplier development and management of post design transfer supplier changesExperience with schedule, budget, cost and risk management tracking toolsAbility to work in a dynamic work environment.Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross functional team environmentSeeks, recognizes, and executes creative and simple solutions to resolve complex project challenges; routinely steadies the team when stressed; leads by exampleStrong relationship building, customer focus and facilitation skillsExcellent communication (written, verbal), presentation and documentation skillsRequired Education and TrainingFour-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent) in a scientific field preferred; business, finance or related field will be considered in conjunction with experience.Preferred Skills and ExperienceMSc/MA/MBA is a plus.Excellent knowledge of program/project management software (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, collaboration tools) desiredCertification in project management (PMP, CSM) desiredExperience in managing and mentoring junior staff and consultant resources desiredMinimum 8 years of experience involved in the development and commercialization of highly technical medical devices.Additional InformationDue to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19.
