Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo - Montrose, Colorado. This position involves performing a variety of transthoracic, stress, dobutamine echocardiogram, carotid, venous, and arterial studies within the laboratory. The ultrasonographer will optimize imaging modalities, perform quality exams for physician interpretation, and assist with departmental operations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Education: RDCS registered. BLS certified on hire; ACLS preferred. Training & Experience: Prefer one-year experience but not mandatory. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Essential Functions:
  • Performs transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) exams.
  • Performs stress echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
  • Prepares preliminary interpretation of studies.
  • Understands and uses echocardiogram imaging agents as needed according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) exams.
  • Maintains, stocks echocardiogram labs as needed.
  • Performs high-level disinfection of transesophageal (TEE) probe.
  • Documents and maintains patient and test data accurately.
  • Maintains equipment and manages workload fluctuations.
  • Evaluates patients and adapts to clinical situations.
  • Utilizes and maintains departmental and hospital equipment.
  • Completes departmental and hospital requirements.
  • Participates in departmental, team, and committee goals.
  • Takes ownership of individual performance goals.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assists with daily activities, such as transporting patients and chart review.
  • Explains procedures to patients and instructs proper positioning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
• Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds.
  • Capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, with assistance for weights over one hundred (100) pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with fine motor skills and visual acuity.
