Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Attorney for their office in Topeka, KS. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal support and guidance in matters such as divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, and estate planning, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. Duties Prepare and draft legal documents and necessary correspondence. Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders. Correspond with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases. Interview and prepare witnesses for court cases. Ensure the accuracy of all prepared documents. Appear promptly in court for assigned cases. Handle all aspects of assigned cases. Perform administrative duties, including filing and organizing files. Conduct legal research for specific issues. Requirements J.D. and Kansas license required. Family law experience preferred but not required. Senior Associate positions available for attorneys with five years or more of litigation experience. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) Certifications Licensed to practice law in Kansas Skills Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
