Our client, a well-established Pittsburgh-area technology services organization, is seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to join their growing technology team and provide technical support to end users and assist with day-to-day IT operations. This role serves as a key resource for resolving hardware, software, network, and user support issues while helping maintain a reliable and secure technology environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-service mindset, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting Windows-based environments.

Employment Type: Permanent Hire

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours

Compensation: $26/hour

Work Environment: Primarily On-Site with Occasional Local Travel (Zelieniople and Meadville locations)

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, networking, and end-user issues
• Manage support requests from intake through resolution
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
• Install, configure, and maintain workstation hardware and software
• Support user account administration, password resets, and access management
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support
• Perform basic server administration and infrastructure support tasks
• Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures
• Maintain technology asset records and assist with equipment deployment
• Train and support users on technology best practices
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues
• Travel occasionally between local sites to provide hands-on support
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience providing IT support in a business environment
• Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications
• Working knowledge of:
• Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Active Directory
• Microsoft 365
• Desktop and laptop hardware
• Basic networking concepts
• Printers and peripheral devices
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or similar certifications
• Experience supporting multiple locations or end-user environments
• Exposure to server administration, cloud platforms, or managed IT services
