Applications Lab Associate II

Twist Bioscience seeks an Applications Lab Associate II to execute NGS library preparation and sequencing workflows in a service laboratory setting. The role involves managing customer-driven projects while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data and maintain production timelines.

Responsibilities

• Execute NGS library preparation, target enrichment, and sequencing protocols according to established standards
• Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, DNA quantification, and purification
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including liquid handling robots and sequencing platforms
• Track samples and projects while maintaining accurate documentation and batch records
• Troubleshoot experimental and equipment issues to ensure workflow continuity

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field
• Hands-on experience with PCR, DNA purification, quantification, and library preparation
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices in laboratory environments
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
• 3–5 years of experience in molecular biology or NGS workflows (preferred)
• Direct experience with NGS platforms and sample preparation workflows (preferred)
• Familiarity with analytical tools such as BioAnalyzer, Qubit, or Nanodrop (preferred)

Compensation: $116,000–$135,000 USD base
