About the Position

The unit has a total of 26 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. The staffing includes unit secretaries and patient care technicians. Equipment available includes coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requires four weekend shifts per schedule. Floating policy is based on a rotation. Patient experience requirements are set at 72%. Advanced skills are needed for procedures performed on the unit, including knee and hip replacements, as well as multi-level spine surgeries. The required dress code consists of navy scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines should be reviewed prior to assignment. Outstanding department/team awards may be available. Consideration for new equipment or technology, staff tenure and experience, and schedule options can enhance the appeal of this unit.
