Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other miscellaneous facilities. Tasks and responsibilities include performing and processing X-Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment, transmitting X-Rays to a Radiologist for interpretation, unloading portable X-Ray equipment and conducting exams as ordered by the physician, obtaining clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-Ray images, performing EKGs (as needed) and transmitting them to a Cardiologist for interpretation, scanning exam-related paperwork and documents daily according to protocol, regularly communicating with dispatch and management, interacting professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients, and maintaining vehicle and X-Ray equipment.
Physical demands include pushing or pulling weights ranging from 50 to 100 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Radiologic Technologists may push or pull weights ranging from 50 to 100 lbs. Using vehicle ramps and pulleys can decrease the weight pushed or pulled. When pushing or pulling equipment in a facility or home, the weight can increase. 50 lbs of force (or more) may be required 16 to 24 times a day.
