Purchasing Coordinator

Purchasing Coordinator-NPDResponsible for securing (onboarding and setting up) suppliers, issue purchase orders for shop supplies and project related work, but also assists with the issuance of production related materials. Works closely with Buyers and other cross functional teams where they articulate G&W requirements with supplier base to achieve positive outcomeAs a Purchasing Coordinator you will:Issue Purchase Orders for MRO/Indirect requisitions, quotes, and MRP related purchasesConsult catalogs (online resources) and other references to obtain prices and specificationsFollow up with suppliers on late POs and expedites as necessaryOn board new suppliers as neededManage VMI program for MRO/Indirect categoryExpedite PO's to ensure on-time deliveryAssist buyers with maintaining data; delivery dates, pricing, etc. in ERP systemCommunicate and distribute order confirmation details to functional team membersMaintain department's ISO work instructionsHandle moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staffWe are looking for someone who:Holds an Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, work experience and skill development requiredHas experience in manufacturing environmentPerforms work under general supervisionHas good computer skills, including MS Word and MS ExcelPossesses strong communication skills, written and verbalHas basic MRP system understandingHas good problem-solving skillsHas the ability to negotiate delivery dates and pricing with suppliersMust be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in EnglishThe physical demands of the job are:General Office Environment, PC useLight Lifting (occasional 25 lbs. or less)Sitting - frequentStooping – occasionalProlonged computer usageWhat we offer you:Pay Range is typically between $46,945 – 57,503 annuallyPlease note the pay information shown above is a general guideline.
