Electrical Assistant Project Manager - Mission Critical Data Center

The Traveling Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects across multiple locations. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, this role helps ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory requirements. This position partners with field leadership and project teams to support efficient project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following: Assist the PM in managing day-to-day project operations and administrative tasks. Support the preparation, review, and tracking of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs. Help organize weekly project schedules, manpower plans, material deliveries, and long-lead tracking. Attend project meetings (internal and external) and prepare meeting notes or action items. Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely distribution of updates to stakeholders. Conduct periodic site walks with the PM or Superintendent to observe progress and verify installation compliance. Assist with documenting field conditions, tracking percent of completion, and reporting potential delays. Coordinate with field leadership to ensure alignment on project goals, safety standards, and execution plans. Assist in monitoring labor hours, equipment usage, and material costs. Review purchase orders, delivery tickets, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy. Help prepare weekly project summaries and cost-to-complete updates for leadership. Support communication between clients, general contractors, engineers, and Enterprise Electrical teams. Maintain professionalism when interacting with external partners while representing Enterprise Electrical values. Reinforce Enterprise Electrical’s Safety Standards during all site visits. Ensure project activities align with NEC, local codes, and company quality requirements. Assist in project closeout tasks including punch list documentation, as-builts coordination, and turnover packages. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite and with: Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, Revit, or other project management tools. Strong understanding of basic electrical systems, NEC concepts, and construction workflows. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Oversee the change management process across all active projects, ensuring allscopechanges areidentified, assessed, and processedin a timely manner. Support the Project Manager in tracking project schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Assistin coordinating material procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Maintain project documentation and ensure records are current, complete, and compliant. Conduct site walks and inspections to track progress, support quality assurance, andmonitorsafety compliance. Interface with field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients tofacilitatecommunication and resolve issues. Help prepare weekly reports, project updates, and closeout packages. Participate in pre-construction planning, including constructability reviews and schedule analysis. Ensure project activities align with company standards and client expectations. Basic understanding of construction project management processes. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalatissues appropriately. Working knowledge of safety practices and jobsite requirements. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities None Work Environment/Physical Demands/Position Type and Expected Work Time Work Environment: Work is performed primarily on active construction sites with ongoing electrical and general construction activities. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and humidity. Exposure to typical construction site conditions such as noise, dust, vibration, and moving equipment. May work near energized equipment, elevated work areas, excavations, and confined or restricted spaces in compliance with OSHA safety procedures. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and other environmental conditions common to construction sites. Work may require occasional travel between multiple project sites. Physical Requirements: Frequently walk active construction sites, including uneven surfaces and unfinished structures. Occasionally climb stairs, ladders, or temporary access systems in compliance with OSHA requirements. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, or reach as necessary to observe work activities and inspect conditions. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and subcontractors in person and over the phone or radio. Occasionally lift, carry, or move materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without assistance. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and fall protection equipment when required. Position Type: Full-time position. Eligible for standard company benefits. Typical Schedule: Monday through Friday standard hours vary based on job site and location. 45-minute meal break included. Actual hours may vary based on business needs. Shift Details: Primarily a day-shift role. Occasional adjustments to start/end times may be required. Could include evenings and/or weekends based on workload or deadlines. Overtime Expectations: None Travel Frequent travel required based on project needs, including overnight and extended stays. Required Education and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field preferred. Equivalent electrical or construction field experience may substitute for formal education. Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites. OSHA 30 Certification. First Aid / CPR / AED preferred. Experience Requirements: 2+ years of experience in a construction or project engineering role; electrical contracting experience strongly preferred. Experience supporting multiple projects or working in a fast-paced environment. Equipment or Machines Routinely Used in This Position Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, and fall protection equipment. Mobile devices (smartphone, tablet) for inspections, reporting, and communication. Laptop or desktop computer for documentation, reports, and safety tracking. Hand tools and basic measuring devices used for inspections (tape measure, flashlight, voltage tester). Two-way radios for jobsite communication. Access equipment such as ladders, lifts, and scaffolding (for observation and inspection purposes only).
