This specific role is based at our flagship location, Saffron De Twah.
Position Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for executing high-quality food preparation across multiple kitchen stations. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently during high-volume service, and a team-first mindset.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and capable of supporting overall kitchen operations while maintaining consistency, quality, and speed.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute hot line cooking and protein preparation with accuracy, consistency, and proper technique.
- Maintain prep levels, station organization, and cleanliness to ensure service readiness at all times.
- Support plating and garnishing to ensure dishes meet presentation and quality standards.
- Cross-train and work across multiple stations based on business needs and service volume.
- Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and general kitchen upkeep and cleanliness during downtime.
- Follow established systems and procedures to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth coordination during service.
- Set up and break down stations before and after service, including equipment maintenance and deep cleaning tasks.
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards at all times
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or back-of-house kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and verbal/written instructions accurately and consistently.
- Ability to multitask, adapt, and move quickly between stations safely and effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment preferred.
- Reliable transportation required to ensure consistent, on-time arrival for scheduled shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent peak service periods.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movement for up to 8+ hours per shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing approximately 25–50 lbs.
- Exposure to hot surfaces, open flames, sharp tools, commercial kitchen items, and varying temperatures.
- Moderate to high noise levels during busy service times.
- Ability to work safely in a confined, high-traffic kitchen environment.
