Dot Reeder is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our Montclair, NJ boutique team. This on-site role is ideal for someone who thrives operationally, excels in a client-facing environment, brings a creative approach to visual merchandising, strong sense of personal style, and enjoys being an active participant in the brand—both on the sales floor and in our digital storytelling. As an in-person–only boutique, personality matters: we are looking for someone who is professional yet fun, polished yet approachable, and genuinely enjoys engaging with people.Key Responsibilities.... Supports the main store manager in running daily operations and acts as second in command, open and close the store independently Support store sales goals and daily performance targets, deliver an elevated, personalized styling experience for every client, build authentic lasting relationships and support clienteling initiatives, share detailed product knowledge, including fit, fabrication, and styling versatilityVisual & Store Operations.... Maintain the store’s visual standards and merchandising integrity Assist with restocking, inventory organization, and daily replenishment, ensure the sales floor reflects the Dot Reeder aesthetic at all timesSocial Media & Brand Support.... Assist with in-store content creation (photo/video) for social media platforms, model merchandise for social media, website, and marketing content as needed, participate in styling, try-ons, and behind-the-scenes brand moments, contribute creative ideas that align with Dot Reeder’s visual and brand identityQualifications.... All hands on deck attitude, we love teamwork! Minimum 2 years of luxury or contemporary fashion retail experience Train team members on store policies, sales goals, product knowledge, assist with coaching/evaluations, and adherence to company standards Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, receiving shipments, and unpacking deliveries Ability to walk up and down a flight of stairs and lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, engaging personality Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Comfortable being photographed and appearing in brand content Flexible availability, including weekends High school diploma or equivalent Nice to Have Experience with Lightspeed POS or similar retail systems Background in buying, merchandising, or inventory planning Previous experience working within a small business or independently owned boutique Interest or experience in social media, content creation, or brand marketing Fashion-related education or trainingWhy Dot Reeder....
