Job Overview

ADM Trucking, Inc is hiring experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Class A CDL Tanker Drivers based out of Effingham, IL . This position requires a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement at time of hire and the ability to obtain a Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement within 60 days .

As a food-grade transportation carrier, we prioritize safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery . Drivers are responsible for long-haul route planning, safe equipment operation, and adherence to all federal and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles including:

  • Semi-trucks

  • Tank trailers

  • Dry van trailers

  • Pneumatic trailers

  • Intermodal equipment

  • Flatbeds

• Safely load and unload food-grade products following company and customer procedures

• Plan routes including:

  • Fuel stops

  • DOT-compliant breaks

  • Customer appointments

  • Weather and traffic conditions

  • Construction and detours

• Drive in both city and rural environments

• Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Sit for extended periods while safely operating equipment

• Maintain accurate logs and compliance documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement

• Ability to obtain HazMat endorsement within 60 days of hire

• Minimum 12 months of verifiable OTR or local driving experience within the past 7 years

• No more than:

  • 1 chargeable accident in the past 3 years

  • 1 moving violation in the past 3 years

  • 3 employers in the past 3 years

• Successful completion of:

  • DOT pre-employment drug screen

  • DOT physical

  • Background check

  • Functional capacity testing

Candidates not meeting these criteria may be considered subject to management approval.
