About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgery (General Major) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (0645 - 1515) Experience: 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: General Surgery experience Ortho experience Scrubbing experience Description: The position involves working in a dynamic operating room environment. You will be responsible for assisting in surgeries and patient care. You should have experience with various surgical procedures, including GI scopes, cataracts, general surgery, gynecological cases, pain management, cardiology, and orthopedic procedures. Vascular, cardiovascular, and neurosurgery experience are not required. You will work with surgical technologists in a team setting. A charge nurse will be present during shifts, and a house supervisor is available 24/7. Call requirements include weeknight and weekend responsibilities. The expectation for call response time is within 60 minutes. The unit uses Epic for electronic medical records. You will be provided with hospital scrubs for the duration of your shift.
