Respiratory Therapist RRT - Shifts Varies - Full Time

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Respiratory Therapist RRT
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital - Glenview, IL
• Full Time | 40 hours/week
• Hours: Shifts will vary Monday-Friday from 6:30am-7pm, 6:30pm-7am, 6:30am-3pm, or 2:30pm-11pm with rotating weekends and holidays

What you will do:

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need:

• Education : Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required
• License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required
• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment, required
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment
