Forklift Operator II - 1st Shift

Forklift Operator IIForklift Operator II is responsible for the loading and unloading of material on trucks and rail cars. Maintains correct paperwork and shipping and receiving records are required. Works under immediate supervision and relies on specific directions and instructions.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoads and unloads trucks and rail carsMoves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail carProvides general preventive maintenance on equipment.Completes preshift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.Completes paperwork as required.Empty trash and wood hoppers.Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.Performs other duties as required.QualificationsMinimum 9th-grade basic education High school diploma GED preferred but not requiredPrefers 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a forklift or operating similar equipment.Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferredSuccessfully complete Forklift Driver licensing processMust be at least 18 years of ageCompensation & Benefit Information:Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 an hour dependent on experience**pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of livingBonus/Incentive Pay:Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.
