Job Type: Contract
Duration: 1 Year
Pay Rate: $45–$65/hr

Schedule:
Monday – Saturday
(20 hours overtime weekly paid at 1.5x hourly rate)

Per Diem:
Available for qualified non-local candidates living 75+ miles from the project site.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to support a large-scale data center construction project. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA and construction safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large commercial or industrial construction projects and possess strong field engagement, incident investigation, and safety compliance experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and support an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) across the project site
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Conduct incident investigations and support injury/illness case management
• Develop and maintain project safety roadmaps and safety documentation
• Support project leadership, field personnel, and general foremen with safety initiatives
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Assist with training, safety meetings, and field engagement activities
• Coordinate corrective actions and support continuous safety improvements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of large-scale construction safety experience
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required
• BCSP certification required/preferred (CSP, CHST, ASP, STSC, OHST, etc.)
• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or data center construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work night shift and overtime schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical construction safety experience preferred
• Knowledge of NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI standards
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

Work Environment

• Combination of indoor office and outdoor construction site environments
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Occasional work at heights and in confined spaces
