Charge RN Progressive Care

HCA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Charge RN Progressive Care nurse to provide clinical and leadership oversight on a high-acuity progressive care unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As the Charge RN, you will coordinate and direct the delivery of patient-centered nursing care for adult patients requiring close monitoring, telemetry, and complex medical management, ensuring safe, timely, and evidence-based practice on every shift. You will serve as a clinical resource and first-line leader for bedside nurses and support staff, managing patient assignments, overseeing admissions, transfers, and discharges, and responding to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment and critical thinking. In collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary teams, you will promote effective interprofessional communication, participate in care planning and patient rounds, and advocate for patient and family needs. You will assist with staff mentoring, precept new team members, support ongoing education, and help uphold unit standards, policies, and regulatory requirements while fostering HCA Healthcare’s culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning. The Charge RN Progressive Care role requires strong assessment and telemetry skills, the ability to prioritize rapidly in a fast-paced environment, and comfort with leading through change, conflict resolution, and delegation. You will play a key role in quality and safety initiatives, including falls and infection prevention, medication safety, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
