Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Assistant Director of Nursing Are you an RN/LPN looking for a position to advance your career? At AristaCare of Manchester, we have just the opportunity you are looking for! We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team in providing quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Ensure the upmost quality and patient-centered care of residents
- Assist the DON with coordination of infection control
- Assist the DON in planing, organizing and implementing training programs/in-services for clinical staff.
- Assist the DON with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff.
- Assist the DON in ensuring adequate and appropriate staffing of the facilities nursing department This may include recruitment.
- Assist the DON in overseeing the process for competency evaluations and corrective action plans.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NJ.
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (RN) license in the State of NJ.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in clinical setting is preferred, but not required.
- Three (3) years of experience in long term care/sub-acute setting is preferred, but not required.
- Infection Control: 1 year experience preferred, but not required. Must have basic knowledge of IP.
- Must be computer literate and have experience with EMR systems. - PCC/SNF preferred, but not required.
- May be required to complete an IP Course, within 3-6 months of hire, (based on facility needs).
