Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

Tomball, TX | Acute Care – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: October 19, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care assessment and treatment of emergency room patients in a Level III trauma center, accredited chest pain center, and primary stroke center setting
• Perform IV initiation, blood collection, blood transfusions, and medication administration
• Participate in resuscitation of adult and pediatric patients and assist with intubation and moderate sedation
• Deliver care to behavioral health patients and apply restraints as clinically indicated
• Assist with splinting and other procedural support as needed across unit areas including triage and resuscitation rooms
• Utilize EMR system (Meditech) and unit equipment including Level 1, Lucas devices, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, GE bedside monitors, and EKG machines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification required (must hold at least one)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
• Ability to work a minimum of 2 weekends per month; no on-call requirement
• Must wear Royal Blue scrubs per unit dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification
• ATCN or CEN certification
• Experience in a trauma center or high-acuity emergency department environment
• Comfort and flexibility working across multiple unit areas including triage and resuscitation rooms
