DC Operations Manager in Training

MUST BE OPEN TO RELOCATION ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist the DC manager to oversee all aspects of a single distribution center, including service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members. Ensure day‑to‑day that the DC is compliant with company operations, policies and procedures. Assist the DC manager to maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, and related operational metrics. Provide training, guidance, and counseling as needed to each DC team member. Manage a staff of 1‑15 supervisors and up to 300 hourly team members; provide excellent leadership and maintain high productivity and morale. Work with the DC manager to establish annual goals and develop plans to accomplish those goals. Collaborate closely with the DC manager and human resources to support team members, including recruiting, hiring, and training practices. Conduct timely evaluations of all team members. Assist the DC manager with preparing the annual operating budget and monitor departmental expenditures. Coordinate with the DC manager for approval of any expense exceeding $1,000. Provide a safe working environment and aggressively manage all risk and related costs. Perform all other duties as assigned.
