Sales Director (Santa Clara County)

Govig Healthcare Group , the premier executive search firm specializing in the Senior Housing industry, is seeking an experienced Director of Sales for a luxury senior living community in the Santa Clara, CA market.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven senior living sales leader to join a community in an active stage of growth. We are looking for someone who knows how to drive occupancy, generate new business, and lead a high-performing sales effort.

The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, hands-on sales leader who thrives in a growth and lease-up environment. This person will be expected to personally drive sales activity while also bringing structure, accountability, and leadership to the overall sales process .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the community's sales efforts with a focus on driving occupancy and achieving established sales goals.
• Generate new business through proactive outreach, relationship development, networking, and lead generation.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry and discovery through follow-up, decision-making, and close.
• Build strong relationships with prospective residents, families, referral sources, and professional partners throughout the local market.
• Maintain consistent sales activity and disciplined follow-up across the prospect pipeline.
• Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and accountability to the sales team.
• Develop strategies to increase market awareness and create new referral and prospect opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity to ensure progress toward occupancy goals.
• Partner closely with community leadership and other department heads to create an exceptional prospect and resident experience.
• Represent the community through professional networking, community involvement, events, and local outreach.

What We're Looking For

• Senior living sales experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of driving occupancy growth and sales results within senior living.
• Experience working in a lease-up, growth, or occupancy-building environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the senior living sales cycle, including discovery, relationship building, follow-up, outreach, and closing.
• A proactive sales mentality with the ability to create opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
• Demonstrated ability to work toward defined sales goals and thrive in an accountable, performance-driven environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, and creating structure for a sales team while remaining actively involved in the sales process.
• Strong organizational, pipeline management, and follow-through skills.
• Confident relationship builder with strong communication, presentation, and closing abilities.
