About the Position

Description: This position is a travel RN role in the Emergency Room. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This unit has a total of 39 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Staffing includes one unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor. The equipment used includes crash carts, Level One, Alaris pumps, and bedside cardiac monitors. Documentation is performed using a specific system. Scheduling requires a 4-week schedule that is posted 2 weeks prior to the start date. The floating policy keeps ER staff on hold while at capacity. Patient experience requires 30-minute to 1-hour patient rounding and bedside shift report. Advanced procedures performed on the unit include chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar puncture, laceration repair, and blood product administration.
