This entry-level laboratory technician role requires working at a fast-pace handling a variety of responsibilities associated with shipping, receiving, preparing and processing agricultural samples. This contract assignment will be at least 7 months working a full-time,40 hours per week schedule 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday in Chesterfield, MO. Large corporate and scienfic research work environment with onsite cafeteria and secured parking. Requires an Associate's degree or it's equivalent and 0-3 years of related experience. Ability to maintain inventories, process sample orders and safely handle chemicals and products following Good Laboratory Practices and Regulatory guidelines is necessary. This position frequently lifts 20-25 lbs and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs. Previous experience working in a restaurant or a logistics-related position is desired. This is an entry-level position; Candidates with advanced degrees will be considered overqualified and not an ideal candidate for this role. No C2C accepted.

Responsibilities

In a scientific laboratory setting, you will:

• Process Sample Orders via SampleFlow ChemOps Applications.
• Prepare Sample Orders for shipping and attach appropriate Safety Data Sheets when required
• Scan each sample order and its samples for packaging into shipping container, complete the shipping process according to IATA and/or DOT regulations, and file the shipping documents.
• Assist in completing international shipments and communicating shipping details.
• Physically conduct and reconcile sample inventories (current, bulk, and GLP) in SampleFlow ChemOps Applications and create Excel inventory reports
• Receive packages and maintain accurate records for future references
• • Maintain the Certificate of Analysis archive for GLP samples
• Assist in overseeing the restricted GLP cage area where GLP samples are maintained and secured according to GLP regulations
• Sub-fill sample containers adhering to all HSE, SDS and site safety policies. Apply FIFRA research sample labels, and stickers according to process orders. Scan samples into the inventory and complete process order
• Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies in their designated areas
• Comply with all lab procedures for safety and quality assurance

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safe chemical handling
• Knowledge of inventory maintenance
• High computer literacy
• Able to work fast, effective, and safe
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
