Supermarket Refrigeration Installers

Place Services, Inc., headquartered in Canton, GA, seeks experienced Supermarket Refrigeration Installers for positions across Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham, Atlanta, Greenville SC, and Charlotte. The role involves extensive travel, primarily night work with occasional day shifts. Job Overview: Install supermarket walk‑in and reach‑in refrigeration systems as per blueprints, specifications, and local building codes. What You’ll Do Execute installation of refrigeration systems according to plans and building codes. Build and install pipe hangers, fit and braze copper pipe for supermarket cases. Assemble, position, and mount refrigeration units, condensers, compressors and other components. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards for refrigeration systems. Follow proper disposal procedures for refrigerants and hazardous materials. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation logs, service reports, and equipment specifications. Document equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates regarding job progress. Interact professionally with supermarket management and staff to understand refrigeration needs. Provide courteous and responsive customer service, resolving inquiries promptly. Who You Are Experience as a Lead, Pipe Fitter, Case Setter, or helper is desirable; apprenticeships open to those wanting to learn. Excellent eye for detail and a strong focus on quality. Team player with a “we over me” mentality. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning. What You Bring Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Physical ability to walk distances, bend, crouch, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs repetitively. Strong communication skills. Availability to work nights and/or Sundays. Working knowledge of basic and commercial refrigeration (for lead candidates). EPA certification preferred.
