Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Float Position is based in a healthcare facility located in Mayfield, Kentucky. This role involves providing patient care across various medical surgical units, with a focus on diverse patient populations including geriatrics, adults, and pediatrics. The position requires flexibility to float between units and deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care during night shifts.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Night shift hours with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), Kentucky licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, and willingness to float to like units as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common diagnoses such as COPD, post-operative joints, and diabetic patient populations.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other similar units within the facility.
• Additional Information: Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays. Candidates must be located at least 60 miles or more from the facility. The facility is a 107-bed Joint Commission-accredited hospital serving diverse patient populations.
