MRI Technician - Radiology

Location Address: 1100 Central Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106-4930 Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $36.41 • Maximum Offer $55.60 Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities Instruct patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures; prepare, position, and manipulate patients to ensure appropriate placement for imaging. Select appropriate imaging techniques, calibrate console and peripheral hardware as required. Obtain images, produce film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfer for desk to workstation. Inspect for quality and completeness of exam. Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera. Perform physical inventories and maintain clinical supplies. Provide instruction and guidance in MRI procedures and equipment usage to staff and/or students in training. Ensure adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations. Assist in research and/or clinical subject scheduling. Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree preferred. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRT) New Mexico licensure required. American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (MR) (ARRT) required. American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) required. BLS Certification required at the time of hire. For Registered Technologist Trainees/Apprentices: PMRT (Provisional NM licensure) required; American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T.
