Job Summary:
The position is for a Surgical Technologist or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and involves performing a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. The position involves working five days per week with eight-hour shifts, starting as soon as possible.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
• Specialty: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Shift Time: Days, 8 hours per shift
• Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours each, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification from AHA required; Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license required; High School Diploma or equivalent required; Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required; 2 or more years of experience preferred
• Additional Information: Weekend requirement of 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts per schedule; On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week; Float to other departments as needed; Position backfill for permanent associate; Open to submissions from qualified candidates
• Responsibilities: Assisting in preparing operating rooms, maintaining aseptic techniques, supporting surgical procedures, establishing and maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring patient safety and comfort before and during surgery.
