POSITION - Forklift Operator (Sit-Down, Gas)
JOB LOCATION - Menomonie, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE - Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM - Long-Term, Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE - Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - 1st Shift (7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday, plus coming in early or staying late when OT is needed)
STARTING PAY - $18.00-$19.00 per hour depending on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION - High School Diploma or GED preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Prior sit-down forklift experience required; previous experience loading/unloading trailers required

In this role, you will support production and shipping operations by safely moving materials, loading and unloading trailers, and keeping workflow running efficiently. This company is looking for someone who is motivated to learn, grow, and stay long-term. You will be trained by experienced team members and have the opportunity to expand your skillset into additional areas.

Responsibilities:
This position includes a variety of forklift and general support duties, including but not limited to:
• Operate a sit-down gas forklift safely and efficiently
• Load and unload semi trucks/trailers using a forklift
• Transport materials and supplies to and from production lines
• Learn and reference Factory Order Books to understand products and customer requirements
• Assist with organizing materials and maintaining inventory flow
• Support production as needed, including sorting, organizing, and general cleanup
• Ensure accuracy when handling and moving products
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:
• Prior forklift certification required (will be recertified onsite)
• Experience loading and unloading trailers with a forklift is required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to lift 15-22 lbs. regularly (never exceeding 50 lbs)
• Comfortable working in a warm environment (no AC; fans and ventilation provided)
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within the company
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Additional Information:
• Training will be completed onsite with experienced team members
• Trailers may be loaded by hand or by forklift
• Overtime is voluntary and would be working 5-10's or 5-12's
• Time and a half paid after 40 hours; double time paid after 10 hours in a day
