Job Description

This role focuses on MIG welding structural steel components in a clean, well-equipped job shop environment. You will contribute to a large newly secured project, working with a variety of parts and industries while collaborating closely with a small team of welders and fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components, including material up to approximately 2 inches in thickness.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand weld symbols, dimensions, and fabrication requirements.
• Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment to produce strong, consistent, and structurally sound welds.
• Inspect workpieces and welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with a team of up to three people to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work area.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the facility.
• Adapt to working on a variety of projects and materials typical of a job shop environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status, issues, and improvements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blacklick, OH.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
