Construction Superintendent

Central Coast & Southern California | Full-Time

Salary: $75,000–$125,000 per year, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Locations: San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Los Angeles, and San Diego counties
Language Requirement: Bilingual English/Spanish

About the Opportunity

ParkerBeth Search Partners is partnering with a key construction industry client to identify an experienced Construction Superintendent to support its growing field operations across the Central Coast and Southern California.

Our client specializes in reconstruction, roofing, painting, maintenance, waterproofing, and exterior building solutions for homeowner association (HOA) communities. As its project portfolio expands, the team is looking for a hands-on construction leader who can coordinate field operations, lead crews, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Field Operations: Direct and manage on-site construction teams, coordinating daily activities to ensure work progresses efficiently.
• Coordinate Project Execution: Oversee all on-site construction activities and attend production meetings to align priorities and address potential issues.
• Manage Schedules and Budgets: Review project schedules and budgets, monitor progress, and help ensure work stays on track and within established financial targets.
• Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure construction work meets project specifications, drawings, and required quality standards.
• Coordinate Materials and Equipment: Place material orders and ensure the necessary supplies, tools, and equipment are available when needed.
• Enforce Job-Site Safety: Monitor site safety compliance, cleanliness, and overall organization.
• Maintain Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain daily field reports, field orders, requests for information (RFIs), and other project records.
• Coordinate Inspections: Work with inspection authorities to facilitate required inspections and approvals.
• Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear communication with field teams, project stakeholders, and other parties involved in construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish ( required ).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in taking and uploading digital photographs for project documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work across assigned project locations in Central and Southern California.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling software and CAE/CAD applications.
